National Geographic magazine review
National Geographic magazine is a publication I have read for several years. It has examples of photography and scientific research. I aspire to publish photography work, such as a stalactite cave or a zoological piece about wildlife, creating writing which portrays narrative documentary for an audience. I’ve submitted assignments to National Geographic Your Shot, which is a variety of geographical photography, writing captions and keywords.
National Geographic covers topics about history, travel and news about geographic locations around the globe. It features cultural and social aspects of areas people live and has a range of topics from global warming, environmental, deforestation, animal wildlife and scientific writing. Agriculture and archaeology discoveries are credible information sources throughout the magazine. During early stages it was a text magazine publication, differing to scientific writing with a range of photographic content. Also covering environmental topics forces of nature, animals, ecosystems, astronomy and weather temperature.
The target audience is for all ages, with an interest in geography, history and archaeology with different publications about culture and locations around the world. There are different publications such as National Geographic Traveller and Nat Geo History magazine, attracting aboard different readers.
National Geographic Magazine is translated into 38 different languages, including French, Russian and Arabic. It is informative, creating a visual story through words, captions and paragraphs. During the start of the month, the magazine is published.
